In Nightmare Forest I Need Inscriptions To Escape

WARNING! ONLY FOR ADULTS WITH STRONG NERVE!

You wake up in a dark, nightmarish forest. A Nightmare Forest. You see an inscription on a raddled sheet of paper attached to a cross-stone in front of you. The strange thought in your head is:

"In Nightmare Forest I Need Inscriptions To Escape!"

INFINITE is a horror game as terrible as its name! Inspired by Slender: 8 Pages. Collect 6 pages to be able to solve the mystery and escape - but is there a way out? Or is it infinite? 

Made in 7 days for Made With Defold Jam 2023. 

Hints

• Flashlight lasts for about 8 minutes on the battery.
• When you crouch, you make less noise. Jumping is loudest.

Known bugs and limitations

• It's definitely not finished and definitely still buggy.
• Some ground tiles might disappear, but you can still step on it - you won't fall down.
• The gameplay loop is (as in Jam's theme) - infinite, so even after collecting all pages, you should be respawned.
• The game is not so well optimized, it's my first attempt at 3D game development, so if your machine is as crappy as mine, it might hangs occasionally.
• There is no save system.
• Tested on Ubuntu 20.04, Windows 10, Windows 11.
